Christine Husom is the author of the Second Wind Publishing mystery thrillers, Murder in Winnebago County and Buried in Wolf Lake, the first two books in the Winnebago County series. She has been writing and creating stories since the age of six. Christine realized her dream of being published in 2008, and is a best-selling author at Second Wind Publishing. Her brother-in-law, Richard Haskin, designed the book covers and painted them in watercolors.
A long-time mystery lover, Husom served with the Wright County Sheriff’s Department where she gained a working knowledge of law enforcement policies and procedures. The idea for Murder in Winnebago County started as a possible explanation to a bizarre death in her family. Buried in Wolf Lake was inspired by an actual crime. But both books are completely fictional.
Christine lives in Buffalo with her husband. They have four adult children and five grandchildren. In addition to writing, Christine works at the family business, Sole Comfort Shoes/Buffalo Orthotics in downtown Buffalo. She holds an undergraduate degree from Concordia University in St. Paul and a law enforcement certificate from Metropolitan State University in St. Paul.
