My novel covers a period of approx. twenty years from the end of World War Two throug! h to the mid 1960's. It is set in a small village in Northumberland on the banks of the River Tweed. I used to own a cottage in this village and the story is as much about the awesome countryside and its violent history as it is about the two main characters.
