Staccato Publishing Opens its Digital Imprint, Darkest Night

Small boutique publishing company, Staccato Publishing, launches new digital imprint, Darkest Night. New imprint allows company to welcome fresh new talent with less risk. Openly seeking submissions.
Zimmerman, Minnesota, May 25, 2012 After what proved to be a promising first year filled with impressive sales and several new authors, Staccato Publishing founder, Heather Savage, has launched a digital arm, Darkest Night Publishing. “We have to be so choosy about who we sign under Staccato’s banner because of the high overhead involved in paperback production. Digital lets us take a chance on new authors and build up a following,” Savage says. “Titles that do well digitally will have the option to go into paperback after six months or for the authors’ next release.” Titles with Darkest Night have the advantage of faster turnaround while still enjoying the staff’s unprecedented dedication to their authors and unusual volume of publicity for such a small press. Thus far Darkest Night has some wonderful new talent lined up and they are actively seeking more.
“We’re quite proud to welcome Australian, Jacinta Maree, to the family. Her Young Adult debut Paranormal Romance, My Demonic Ghost (set to release early July 2012) is just the kind of fresh talent we are hoping to bring readers under this imprint,” Savage tells. “Initial reviews are coming back gushing with good things about this author. We wouldn’t have been able to give her a chance without the digital option.”
