A strong young woman named Noane brings together four lost souls and sets them all on a quest to find freedom and hope. Quest is the story of Noane, a strong-minded sixteen year old girl who is forced to seek a new life beyond the farm. Arruzis is a cat-like creature whose people, the Kullgarin, were slaughtered in a long ago land war. When Noane saves Arruzis' life, it sparks a friendship that grows deeper as the days pass. Together they meet up with Thane, Nehe-my'an the Swift, Winsome the Hunter Crane and Usalgig, the little man of prophecy.Noane and the others must risk their lives and travel continent and sea to secure justice, and to find peace at last. Quest - a story of a heroic girl, and her four friends, who risk everything for hope, and a place to call home.
Noane is young woman, but she is no helpless damsel in distress. She is, instead, the hero of our story. A heroine who risks everything to find a new path in life. A new path tangled with adventure and peril. Not so does Noane rely on the commanding presence of the boy who loves her, or the Kulgarr creature who hopelessly pines for her from afar. Noane does not use magic swords, or charmed crystals to fight her way through battles and out of prison. Neither does a sorcerer arrive just in time to save her from Lorrm Chu, the greedy old trader of goods who wants Noane for himself. No, Noane relies on her wits to save herself, and to help her friends as well. Together, they face an army of crawling bugs, a crooked politician with dreams of becoming king, the Walking Mountains that never stop moving - then only to say goodbye at the shore of the Perishing Sea. As they set sail in a ramshackle old boat, Noane contemplates the future of them all. Will she ever see Arruzis the Kulgarr again? Or Nehe-my'an the Swift, the trusty guide who brought her friends back safely from the ruins of Athanagild?
