New prophetic work claims end of era is coming

Briggs claims that we are simultaneously witnessing the closing of the age of Pisces as well as the finish of the epoch of the Kali Yuga alongside the cessation of the Maha Yuga, the Great Year in Hindu cosmology. As Briggs describes it, these are "cycles within cycles within cycles." 

"The Purification Papers" integrates the beliefs and religious papers of ancient Judeo-Christianity, the core precepts of Mahayana Buddhist texts and the heady physics of multi-verse string theory. According to Briggs, the human calendar follows that of the Great Year, an enormous 25,920 year cycle that is divided into four distinct epochs of 6,480 years, each of those composed of a trinity of 2,160-year ages.  As all of these calendar divisions are coming to close, transformational times are upon the human race. 

"We too suspend our disbelief long enough to acknowledge the possibility of a living, anthropic Godhead and find ourselves better prepared to deal with the ephemeral 'birth pangs' necessary to usher in a brave new world," says Briggs, who developed the book based on articles he contributed to the newsletter of Mandala Books, a well-known metaphysical and spiritual bookstore in Northern California.
