Journey to Ecstasy

1. a moderate overview of some of the basic tenets of the bhakti-yoga system, which the author has practiced for 35 years;
2. commentary of current issues from a bhakti-yoga practitioner's perspective, and
3. an autobiography with emphasis on the spiritual aspects of the author's life.

The autobiography depicts what happened after Jeff became complacent, neglected his spiritual practice, and became involved heavily in motorcycling.  After a nearly fatal motorcycle accident in April, 2008, emergency surgery was performed.  After surgery, nurses began giving him morphine for pain relief.  A severe reaction to the morphine ensued, and the author began having hellacious visions, becoming entrapped in a grisly world of negative energy.  Suddenly and quite unexpectedly, God saved him and what happened next is truly fantastic, and comprises the heart of the book.
