About the Book:

Sam Massell is currently President of the Buckhead Coalition. Earlier in his career, Sam served eight years as President of Atlanta's Board of Alderman and four as Mayor of Atlanta. Sam Massell wrote the forward to the book.

About the Author:

Susan Kessler-Barnard: Susan is a native Atlantan and long-time resident of Buckhead. Her involvement in social, cultural, and civic projects in the community led to her interest in Buckhead and its history. This interest was heightened while working in the Atlanta History Center Library / Archives. Ms Barnard has a BA in Journalism and Public Relations. She co-authored with Dr. Harry A. Fifield, This is the Church Being the Church. a history of Atlanta's First Presbyterian Church, and has written numerous articles for the Atlanta Journal and Constitution, and other metro newspapers and magazines.
