Flag: A celebration of Americana by Victor Friedman

06/21/10
By BB Fenix

Renowned photojournalist Victor Friedman hadn’t originally intended on creating a book with a collection of his work comprised with images of the American flag.

Renowned photojournalist Victor Friedman hadn’t originally intended on creating a book with a collection of his work comprised with images of the American flag. With a closer look at various prints and proofs spanning his 45 year illustrious career, Friedman realized the flag was everywhere. Respectively, he created a book by compiling a selection of his poignant monochromatic images celebrating Americana.

Whether in a photo with a veteran, gracing the entrance of a general store, or sprawled on walls past and present, the images of old glory truly embrace the spirit of America. Friedman is artist that elicits true emotion through his thoughtful approach to his craft. His art and photography embodies aspects of everyday life through a visual experience that draws the viewer in. He captures the essence of the moment with sincerity. Black & White magazine says, "Friedman imbues his work with the soul of a true artist." Flag is a tribute to the American symbol of pride and would be an ideal addition for any book or photography enthusiast
