Contemporary Women's Novel

03/18/12
By Robin Mosz

The Keeper is a dynamic drama featuring the following cast of characters:

Christopher William Seacrest--- neurosurgeon par excellence and chief of staff in a renowned medical center at only thirty-five years of age.  The shockingly handsome, reticent surgeon is one of the world’s shining stars.  However, one fortuitous encounter with an unassuming patient, Caitlin, portends his doom.

Caitlin Rosenberry--- she works as a server in an organic restaurant and sidelines growing herbs with friends Denver and Clarisse.   A post stroke patient still in her early twenties, she worries about her appearance and going broke on her farm.  She cares nothing for status and power but nonetheless finds herself drawn into Chris’ swank world.

Danny Creighton--- CEO of the medical center, Chris’ best friend and “one of the nicest people around.”  Harboring a secret attraction for the unusual Caitlin, he and Chris become adversaries and nothing in his life seems to make sense any longer.

Denver Romano--- charismatic, freewheeling graduate student and part-time herb grower who knows everything.  Dedicated to saving the environment, he lives in a teepee and secretly sleeps with his teddy bear.

Dancer--- Denver’s best friend and fellow graduate student, a sensitive dreamer who struggles to live in cold, hard reality.

Clarisse--- Pretty, capricious and easy going, but can’t hold down a job or onto her boyfriend.

Harlan Melrose--- Caitlin’s dedicated neurologist and Dr. Seacrest’s senior mentor, a gentle, sacrificing soul who longs to give up the pressures of medicine for good and spend the rest of his life watching his beloved wild birds.
