Award-Winning Book about Hollywood's Golden Age written by Southern California Personality

Southern California broadcaster Manny Pacheco has a newly published book, Forgotten Hollywood Forgotten History, which highlights the fine supporting stars of Hollywood’s Golden Age. Pacheco’s collection of stories includes written treasures that will enhance anyone’s appreciation of classic cinema. History comes alive with a fresh new take from notable character actors as Claude Rains, Ward Bond! , Hattie McDaniel, Basil Rathbone, and Walter Brennan (and their films that track America’s growth). The National Best Books 2009 Awards sponsored by USA Book News recently announced their winners from the largest entry field in its six-year history. Forgotten Hollywood Forgotten History won in the History - Media / Entertainment category. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences accepted the submission of Forgotten Hollywood Forgotten History to the prestigious Margaret Herrick Library. The Writers Guild Foundation also added Pacheco’s work to the Shavelson Webb Library. The American Film Institute’s - Louis B. Mayer Library is the latest iconic location to accept the paperback. The book is now at the historic The Paley Center For Media in Beverly Hills, Chevalier’s Books in Hollywood, on Amazon, and in Costco, Borders, and Barnes & Noble stores throughout Southern California. In fact, Pacheco will be the in-house author at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel during the 2010 Turner Classic Movies Film Festival in April. Pacheco is a 28-year member of the Screen Actor’s Guild, and has worked in television and radio in Hollywood for three decades. He has appeared on NBC’s Santa Barbara, and the Daytime Emmy-nominated, In Studio on KCOP.
